Zeigler-Royalton CUSD 188 conducted one of our three required Fire Drills today with the assistance of the Zeigler Fire Department.
The drill was a success at both the Elementary/Jr. High and High School buildings. Our staff and students did a tremendous job following the procedures in place.
Thank you to the ZFD for their assistance and participation during the drill.
Today kicks off the Junior Class fundraiser! The class earns an excellent profit from Show Me Dough Fundraising and we will desperately need it this year. Our MAIN money maker, basketball concessions, is not an option this year, so the class is in need of the community's support. The class does have an online store where you can order from ANY of the students.

The Illinois State Board of Education requires each public school to conduct one (1) bus evacuation drill each year to review the safety procedures and guidelines that are in place in the event that a bus evacuation must take place. Due to the restrictions and guidelines in place because of COVID-19, the state is allowing school districts to share a video that highlights the safety precautions and details of a bus evacuation. This video will be shared by our teachers in their classroom. Additionally, Zeigler-Royalton CUSD #188 will be sharing this video through multiple formats, including the District Website, Facebook, Apptegy SMS Messaging App, and email. We encourage all families to view the video and discuss it with your child.
